Join The Program

Refer Leads. Drive Revenue.

With Chevron Advocacy, you can help people you know sell property – and earn revenue while doing it.

Chevron Advocacy enables you to refer qualified leads for our real estate copywriting and real estate photography services.

When a lead becomes a successful referral, you get paid.

You’ll also be helping the person you refer.

Here’s how good real estate photography can benefit agents and sellers:

Faster Sales Cycle

Property listings with professional photographs sell 32% faster than listings without professional imagery.

Less Time Spent

Using a reliable professional means less time taking taking photos and more time for what you do best: selling.

Higher Sale Price

Good photography directly boosts perceived value, resulting in a 1–1.5% higher sale price on average.

To join Chevron Advocacy, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Currently live at a valid address in South East Queensland, Australia or Northern Rivers, Australia

If your partnership application is accepted, you must submit a qualified lead within two weeks of being accepted. Once you have submitted your first qualified lead, you must submit a qualified lead at least once every six months from the date of your first submission.

If you do not meet either of these requirements, your account will be temporarily suspended; you can reactivate it when you have a new qualified lead to submit by contacting service@chevronediting.com.au.

A qualified lead is defined as:

  • a real estate agent or someone currently in the process of selling a property;
  • someone you have spoken to about retaining Chevron Editing’s property photography or copywriting services; and
  • someone who has not, at the time of lead submission, retained another property photographer or copywriter to either work with (for real estate agents) or help market their property (for sellers).

When we first contact a lead you submit, we will confirm that these three requirements have been met.

Enter your details in the provided form; if you aren’t signing up on behalf of a business, enter your own name in the ‘Company name’ field.

Earning With Chevron Advocacy

When you help sellers and agents succeed, you deserve to be rewarded.

If a lead you submit engages us to market their property/market client properties, you’ll earn commission on their first invoice with us, which will vary depending on your program tier. That lead will also count as a successful referral; when you submit enough successful referrals, you’ll move up program tiers.

Before You Hit ‘Submit’

Before you submit a lead, make sure they count as a qualified lead. A qualified lead is defined as:

  • a real estate agent or someone currently in the process of selling a property;

If you repeatedly submit unqualified leads, your account may be subject to action.

  1. To submit a lead, log in to your Chevron Editing dashboard.
  2. Click ‘Leads’ on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click ‘Register Lead’.
  4. For the ‘Agent’ field, select your name.
  5. For the ‘Type’ field, select either ‘Property Seller’ or ‘Real Estate Agent’. If you’re submitting a different type of lead, like a real estate agency or a developer, select ‘Other’.
  6. For the ‘Service Required’ field, type either ‘Photography’ or ‘Writing’.
  7. For the remaining fields, fill in the lead’s information. Add any additional information that we might find helpful in the ‘Notes’ section.
  8. Click ‘Submit’.
  9. Click ‘Leads’ on the left-hand menu. You should now see your lead displayed with the ‘Pending’ status. Once we have confirmed that your lead is qualified, the status will change to ‘Active’.

Once you have submitted a lead, you can access that lead by clicking ‘Leads’ on the left-hand menu, and then clicking on that lead’s name.

In your lead’s dashboard, you can see their referral information and their payment information. Under the ‘Payment Information’ heading, the ‘Phase’ field will have one of three statuses:

  • Won (which indicates the lead has been successfully closed by the Chevron Editing team)
  • Lost (which indicates the lead has been contacted and was not closed by the Chevron Editing team)
  • Processing (which indicates the lead has not yet been Lost or Won)

You will also be able to see the ‘Total Revenue’, ‘Total Commission’, and ‘Commission %’ fields.

  • When a lead is first Won, you will receive a percentage of their first invoice. The total invoice value (minus GST) is indicated in the ‘Total Revenue’ field. Your commission is indicated in the ‘Total Commission’ field. Once this commission has been paid out, the ‘Commission %’ field will change to 0% for Promoters, 2% for Advocates, or 5% for Champions.
  • For successful referrals submitted at the Advocate or Champion tiers, the ‘Total Revenue’ field will be updated at the end of each month with the total revenue generated by that referral for that month. The commission earned from each month’s total revenue will be paid out within 14 days of the new month.

You can see the status of your payouts by clicking ‘Payments’ on the left-hand menu.

All payouts will be distributed through PayPal. You can update the account you receive payouts to by clicking ‘Accounts & Settings’ on the left-hand menu, then clicking ‘My Account’, and then updating the ‘PayPal Email’ field under ‘Payment Information’.
