What is proofreading?
Before content writing, articles or other textual pieces are published, they need to undergo a final check for line-to-line errors. Typographical errors and formatting issues can often creep in during the typesetting stage, so it’s important to have an experienced, well-trained eye review what’s been put to page. Proofreading is particularly important if you’re not well-trained in writing, or if you’ve written something in a hurry and haven’t had time to check it thoroughly.
General Proofreading
Our general proofreading service covers standard proofreading tasks. We check for typographical, grammatical and formatting errors, like disordered captions, misspellings, incorrect grammar, missing words and spacing problems.
Editorial Proofreading
Our editorial proofreading service is a hybrid between traditional copy editing and proofreading. Less exhaustive than copy editing, it offers a more complete assessment than general proofreading – we check for typographical, grammatical and syntactic errors, along with misspellings, formatting problems and spacing issues. This is the perfect choice if you’re on a budget or confident enough in your writing skills that you don’t need a full copy edit.

How We Edit
All pieces are edited using the Microsoft Word ‘Track Changes’ function. You’ll be given two copies – one with the edits integrated, the other with the Track Changes edits highlighted in red. Before we can begin editing, we’ll need a copy of your manuscript or text as a Microsoft Word document (.docx file).
